More Than a Knife

A Tennessee Knife Company knife is built to work, but it is also built to mean something. It can mark a first hunt, a family tradition, a gift from one generation to the next, or the start of a young person’s outdoor journey.

Through the First Blade Program, every qualifying knife purchase helps Tennessee Knife Company place a first blade into the hands of a young hunter or outdoorsman through approved families, mentors, events, and outdoor programs.

Tennessee Knife Company

Built from history. Made in Tennessee. Carried into the future.

Tennessee Knife Company began with a child, a memory, and something passed from one generation to the next. When Brody received his first knife, the excitement in his eyes brought back a lifelong passion for collecting, restoring, and making knives.

That passion grew from Army days ordering knives from Smoky Mountain Knife Works, years in manufacturing, and a deep respect for old American knife brands like Schatt & Morgan, Queen Cutlery, Northfield, Tidioute, Cattaraugus, and Case Brothers.

After discovering hundreds of old turn-of-the-century knife patterns from the Queen factory, the mission became clear: bring forgotten American patterns back to life with modern manufacturing, American steel, skilled hands, and a story worth carrying forward.

The First Blade program carries that same purpose forward. When a TKC knife is sold, a First Blade is given to a young hunter as a reminder of responsibility, tradition, first harvests, and the people who believed they were ready to carry something meaningful.
